Working Together: A Panel Discussion on Collaboration with Other Professionals

 

They say it takes a village and in this panel discussion some of our alphabeePRO trainers discuss how to effectively build and work within a multidisciplinary team. The panellists share their own experiences and provide some tips for parents on how to establish a multidisciplinary team and tips for educators on how to collaborate effectively towards similar goals.

Course Description

Participating in multidisciplinary teams is common in the field of ABA. In this panel discussion, you will hear from ABA clinicians on their experiences in working with multidisciplinary teams. They provide insight for parents on what to consider when selecting professionals for collaboration towards their child’s goals. As members of multidisciplinary teams, their experiences can provide other collaborators with tips on how to develop rapport across fields, identify similar goals and establish roles within the team. Effective collaborations can work with families to best support varying needs and goals. Some common collaborations include Speech and Language Pathology, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Clinical Psychologists, educators, support workers, medical professionals, etc.
