RBT Initial Competency Assessment (In-Person or Remote)

 

To qualify for the Registered Behaviour Technician (RBT) certification by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB), all RBT applicants must demonstrate that they can competently perform the tasks required through the RBT Competency Assessment.

Overview

The Initial Competency Assessment is a crucial step in becoming certified as a Registered Behaviour Technician (RBT) after completing the required 40-Hour RBT Training. To check your eligibility for an assessment with us, please fill out our Contact Form.

Assessment Structure

The assessment takes approximately two hours and is conducted by one of our certified BCBA assessors. To pass, you must demonstrate competence in the following areas:

  • Measurement
  • Assessment
  • Skill Acquisition & Behavior Reduction
  • Professionalism & Requirements

Assessment Options

  • In-person: Available at our AlphaBee centres in Ontario, Canada
  • Remote: Conducted via Zoom
