Lisa Kota

Lisa is a Clinical Supervisor and a Clinical Manager at AlphaBee. She became a Board Certified Behaviour Analyst (BCBA) in 2013. Lisa is also a certified Early Start Denver Model (ESDM) therapist, effective at teaching language and social engagement during play activities. Lisa has over 15 years experience in the field and her career in ABA has spanned teaching with a Discrete Trial Teaching (DTT) approach, teaching with a Verbal Behaviour approach, teaching with ESDM, to increasing generalization using the EBIC (degli Espinosa, 2011), to advanced social skills curricula. Lisa has also learned, with consultation from FTF Consulting, to use Dr. Hanley’s practical functional assessment and skills-based treatment for problem behaviour. She has also written 9 articles for the Autism Ontario Autism Matters magazine. Lisa enjoys sharing AlphaBee’s teaching procedures through workshops and conference presentations and also has a special interest in the development of specialized learning materials to facilitate learning.
