Learning About ABA and Autism Spectrum Disorder

 

This presentation introduces viewers to Autism Spectrum Disorder and how Applied Behaviour Analysis can support individuals and their families. The information provided is meant for those whom ABA is a novel concept and have not had previous exposure to ASD and/or ABA.

Course Description

The objective of this presentation is to provide parents, caretakers and frontline workers with information about Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and the evidence-based practice of Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA). You will hear from Board Certified Behaviour Analysts Therapists about how ABA can be implemented to support individuals and their families. This evidence-based practice focuses on increasing one’s quality of life through individualized programming and goals that are developed with families and other professionals that may support the family.

 

Participants will:

  • Learn about evidence-based practice for treating children with Autism Spectrum Disorder
  • Learn how to navigate Applied Behavioural Analytic services for a child with ASD
  • Be introduced to the 100 Day Tool Kit developed by Autism Ontario for young children and school-age children
