Course Description

In this workshop, we will work together to identify important skills that you can be working on with your child at home and discuss the ways to get them to master these skills successfully. Maybe the skill is too hard for them? Maybe they just don’t like doing it? With the guidance of a BCBA and targeted worksheets, we will help you develop your own individualized plan to get your child from dreading those specific tasks to them being no big deal.

Participants will:

  • Identify and prioritize daily living skills that can serve as goals for your child or teen
  • Learn how to select a target skill to work on and address any skill deficits
  • Create an individualized plan to teach daily living skills to their child and increase motivation
  • Learn strategies to make teaching fun and more effective at home
