Course Description
Building independence in children is crucial, especially for those facing developmental challenges. In this workshop, we will identify important skills that you can work on with your child at home and discuss ways to help them master these skills in their everyday lives. This course will address topics such as Barriers to Following Directions, Prompting, Chaining, Shaping, and Building Motivation - all essential components in building independence in children.
Developing Individualized Plans
With the guidance of a BCBA and targeted worksheets, we will help you develop your own individualized plan to transform challenging tasks for your child. Our goal is to move from your child dreading specific tasks to these tasks becoming manageable parts of their routine, thus building independence in children.
